Ukrainian pop! Ukrainian art!
Ukrainian kitsch - through the eyes of students of the Lviv National Academy of Arts together with diadia.
That's right, we did a project with students!
In collaboration with the youth of the Lviv National Academy of Arts and the teacher of the specialization "meta-creativity" Denys Chernyavsky, we tried to encourage students to interpret the concepts of Ukrainian kitsch, pop art and folklore.
This collab had many stages of interaction from the brief, discussions and final developments and lasted for four months.
Where the idea came from:
The diadia team visited a student exhibition, where they heard Denis' words: “A package with an embroidered shirt is a package with an embroidered shirt at the Kosiv Bazaar, and a package with an embroidered shirt at the Barabashov Market in Kharkiv” — so it turns out that kitsch can unite? So why are we ashamed of it or deliberately avoid it?
What came of it?
Ivan Prykhodko creatively touched a Lego set, an ode to Ukrainian flirting became a statuette of the rivers of the Poltava region in the images of a man and a woman.
